Industry NewsBOYLE Sports expands English football portfolio with Leeds United tie-up
BOYLE Sports has signed a multi-year agreement to become Leeds United's UK and Ireland betting partner as the club begins its first season back in the Premier League, giving the bookmaker a foothold with a newly promoted club whose audience and commercial profile have grown sharply since promotion. The partnership includes matchday LED advertising around Elland Road, permanent signage in the John Charles Stand, and a programme of competitions and digital content aimed at supporters throughout the season. Terms were not disclosed.
BOYLE Sports is a Dundalk-based bookmaker founded in 1982, operating as Ireland's largest independently owned betting company with more than 390 shops across Ireland and the UK. Its existing sponsorship commitments include front-of-shirt branding at West Ham United and backing for the Irish Grand National and the World Grand Prix of Darts. Third-party estimates put annual group revenue above $390 million, though the company does not publish audited results.
Leeds United is an English football club based at Elland Road, competing in the Premier League for the 2026-27 season after winning the Championship title under manager Daniel Farke. The club is wholly owned by 49ers Enterprises, the investment arm of the NFL's San Francisco 49ers, which took full control in July 2023. Club-specific financial figures for this partnership were not disclosed.
The deal extends BOYLE Sports' English football footprint beyond its existing front-of-shirt sponsorship of West Ham United, adding a second Premier League partner through stadium signage and digital activity rather than shirt branding.
The timing follows the bookmaker's stated plan to invest more than £100 million in the UK market, and coincides with Leeds' return to the top flight after 49ers Enterprises committed roughly £450 million to secure promotion and expand Elland Road.
For BOYLE Sports, the tie-up buys visibility with a newly promoted club whose commercial value has risen sharply, with investor documents valuing Leeds at around £527.5 million following its stadium expansion plans. For Leeds, it adds a further revenue stream as ownership works toward the club funding itself without continued owner subsidy.
The agreement reflects a broader pattern of Irish-headquartered bookmakers using tiered sponsorship, stadium and digital rights rather than shirt deals, to secure cross-border reach into English football's expanding Premier League audience at lower cost than headline sponsorship positions.
