Fexco leads sponsorship of Kerry FC Women's Development Team

Fexco will act as lead sponsor of Kerry FC's Women's Development Team, which will compete in the inaugural Women's Development League under the League of Ireland from 2026, according to Business Plus.

The Irish financial services company said the sponsorship aligns with its commitment to advancing equal opportunities, supporting communities and investing in excellence. The agreement reinforces the company's investment in the Kerry community, backing local talent and contributing to regional growth.

Paula O'Sullivan, human resources director for Fexco Group, said the partnership strongly aligns with company values. "This partnership strongly aligns with our values of investing in our communities and supporting equal opportunities. We are excited to support one of the first teams in the Women's Development League, which will no doubt inspire countless young women to get involved and stay involved in the sport," she stated.

Kerry FC is one of 10 clubs in Ireland stepping up to senior women's football for the first time, having previously participated in the EA SPORTS LOI Academy Development Programme. The launch of the Women's Development Team marks the first elite-level pathway for young female footballers within the club.

Billy Dennehy, chief executive at Kerry FC, described the launch as a transformative moment. "As one of just 10 clubs nationally selected to compete, our entry into senior women's football is a transformative moment for the club and creates a clear, structured pathway for emerging female talent in our region," he noted.

Dennehy said having Fexco come on board as sponsor represents a hugely significant endorsement of the club's ambition, with their support playing a vital role in building a sustainable future for women's football at Kerry FC and within the wider community.
