Kingsbridge sponsors Ulster Orchestra schools concert series

Kingsbridge Healthcare Group, through its charitable arm the Kingsbridge Foundation, has been announced as the key sponsor for the Ulster Orchestra Schools Concerts in Northern Ireland. The partnership will support the orchestra’s primary school concert series, reaching more than 4000 pupils and teachers across 90 schools.

The concerts, designed for P4–P7 students, combine live orchestral performance with interactive lessons on health and wellbeing, including the five steps to wellbeing: keep learning, notice feelings, be active, connect with friends, and be generous. The initiative provides an engaging platform for children to explore personal development alongside cultural exposure.

Michelle Baird, Head of Marketing & Partnerships for the Ulster Orchestra, emphasised that the funding from Kingsbridge enables the orchestra to sustain and expand its educational outreach. Martin Shields, Group Medical Director at Kingsbridge Healthcare Group, highlighted the opportunity to connect with local communities and reinforce the organisation’s commitment to holistic wellbeing through hospitals and treatment centres.

The sponsorship demonstrates strategic alignment between corporate social responsibility and cultural engagement. In addition, Dr Lisa Neligan, Lead GP at Kingsbridge, shared practical wellbeing tips as part of the concert programme, linking the organisation’s healthcare expertise directly with the event.

The series offers schools across Derry-Londonderry, Newry, Ballymena, Omagh, and Belfast access to professional orchestral performances combined with actionable wellbeing education.
