Kirby supports ATU Sport Galway GAA clubs with new agreement

Kirby Group Engineering has agreed a three-year sponsorship with Atlantic Technological University’s (ATU) Sport Galway GAA clubs, supporting nine teams across hurling, camogie, men’s, and ladies’ football. Approximately 300 players and 400 additional members will benefit during the 2025/2026 academic year.

This marks ATU Sport Galway’s first corporate sports partnership and Kirby’s third significant sporting sponsorship in Ireland, following previous agreements with Galway Camogie and University of Limerick GAA. The company has a history of local community investment across Ireland, the UK, Sweden, Italy, and South Africa.

The company’s previous partnerships with Galway Camogie and the University of Limerick GAA have established its presence within the Irish sporting landscape.

ATU President Dr Orla Flynn described the sponsorship as a strategic step in retaining talent within the region, noting that support from a major Irish employer signals confidence in the university’s sports development efforts.

ATU Galway Sports Development Officer Molly Dunne added that the funding will enhance facilities and player development, helping students balance performance and education.
