Mediheal extends KBO Futures League title sponsorship for third year

Mediheal has secured title sponsorship of the KBO Futures League for a third consecutive year, with the league officially named the 2026 Mediheal KBO Futures League, as reported by The Chosun Daily.

The flagship brand of South Korean cosmetics company L&P Cosmetic has consistently supported the KBO Futures League as title sponsor since 2024. 

KBO and Mediheal also unveiled the official emblem of the Futures League, which includes the Mediheal brand and will be featured across various online and offline channels.

The monthly Mediheal Futures Rookie Award, established to encourage low-career players in the Futures League and support the growth of promising talents, will continue this year. 

Introduced in 2024, the award selects the best pitcher and batter each month based on Futures League WAR among players in their third year or below who meet the required innings or plate appearances.

Winners receive a prize of 500,000 Korean won (€291.32) and cosmetic products worth 500,000 Korean won from Mediheal.

Kwon Oh-seop, chairman at Mediheal, said the company is grateful to collaborate with KBO, which has established itself as South Korea's premier professional sport. 

"Through our sponsorship of the Futures League, we aim to be a partner not only for the present but also the future of Korean professional baseball, and we hope to become a more familiar brand to baseball fans," he stated.

The 2026 Mediheal KBO Futures League will feature 12 teams, including the newly established Ulsan Whales. The opening matches will be held on 20 March at six venues: Icheon, Seosan, Mungyeong, Iksan, Masan and Ulsan.

The partnership demonstrates Mediheal's continued investment in South Korean baseball development, providing financial support and brand visibility while nurturing emerging talent through structured recognition programmes at the developmental level.
