Malta-headquartered Immense Group brand joins Reading FC's push to build a fanbase beyond League One's traditional reach.

Mr Vegas has announced a front-of-shirt sponsorship of Reading FC's men's first team for the 2026-27 season, with the branding appearing across supporter engagement activity throughout the campaign. Terms were not disclosed.

Mr Vegas is a UK-licensed online casino brand operated by Immense Group, a Malta-headquartered iGaming operator with leadership ties to Stockholm whose portfolio also includes Videoslots, Kungaslottet, Mega Riches and DBET. Financial performance is not broken out publicly for the Mr Vegas brand.

Reading FC is an English professional football club based in Reading, Berkshire, competing in EFL League One, the third tier of English football, and owned by Redwood Holding Limited. The club does not publicly report financial results.

The rationale rests on price. Front-of-shirt sponsorship in the Premier League averaged more than £10 million per season in 2023-24, against EFL deals ranging from roughly £10,000 to £500,000, rarely reaching seven figures.

That gap has made League One and League Two shirts a recurring landing spot for casino and betting brands seeking reach without top-flight cost. Mr Vegas has previously sponsored West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield Wednesday, while Midnite continues to back Sheffield United, Middlesbrough, Southampton and Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Coral has entered a first deal with Birmingham City.

For Mr Vegas, the deal buys front-of-shirt visibility and a partner explicitly positioning itself to build a national following beyond match-day results, a narrative suited to a brand competing against larger stablemates within its own group. For Reading, it secures revenue as the club rebuilds commercially following a period of financial mismanagement and points deductions under its previous ownership.

The pattern points to a maturing sponsorship tier below the Premier League, where lower costs and higher deal volume are offsetting the scale of top-flight exposure. Whether this EFL clustering holds as gambling advertising rules tighten further across UK football will determine how durable the model proves.
