Industry NewsNomadic expands Donegal GAA sponsorship to ladies team
Nomadic has announced an expanded partnership with Donegal GAA, becoming official snack partner of the county's Senior Ladies Football team for the first time while continuing its longstanding support of the Senior Men's Football team, giving the local dairy brand a rare dual-team presence across both codes heading into the 2027 season. As part of the deal, Nomadic will supply its Clusters and Power Pots products to both squads throughout the season, and will separately work with a nutritionist alongside the Donegal LGFA backroom staff to support player wellbeing, nutrition and performance.
Nomadic is a dairy and convenience food brand founded in 1998 and based in Killygordon, Co Donegal, employing around 100 people and describing itself as the number one yogurt brand in the UK convenience and impulse channel. The company was acquired in 2021 by investment group Kerga, formed by BiaVest and Development Capital.
Donegal GAA is the county board overseeing Gaelic games in Co Donegal, including the county's Senior Men's and Senior Ladies Football teams competing at inter-county level for the 2027 season.
The deal converts an existing men's team sponsorship into a genuine dual-team partnership, giving Nomadic equal-billing association with both county sides rather than adding the women's team as an afterthought to an established men's deal.
Nomadic commercial sales manager Ireland Emma Gregory said the company was incredibly proud to partner with the Donegal LGFA while continuing its sponsorship of the men's team, having backed the men's side for a number of years before this year's extension to the women's panel.
Donegal LGFA manager James Daly said the brand's commitment goes beyond sponsorship, pointing to the additional nutritionist support provided to players and backroom staff as evidence the partnership extends into player welfare rather than branding alone.
For the sector, the deal illustrates how indigenous regional food and drink brands increasingly extend single-team county sponsorships into matched men's and women's deals, using product supply and nutritional support, rather than cash alone, as the basis for a partnership positioned around athlete performance.
