CMA has become official match highlights sponsor of Grimsby Town Women in a partnership running to the end of the 2027/28 season, which the club describes as the biggest sponsorship deal specifically for its women’s team, giving the Grimsby-based creative agency an association with the content through which supporters follow the side. The agency will support the club’s highlights coverage of the women’s team for the rest of the 2026/27 campaign and throughout 2027/28.

The deal follows a historic start to the 2026/27 season, in which the team reached the first round proper of the Women’s FA Cup for the first time in the club’s history, before losing 5-0 to Stockport County Women in front of 575 supporters at Blundell Park.

CMA is a Grimsby creative and marketing agency founded in 2015, offering design, development and marketing from offices at Genesis Office Park in Healing, Grimsby, with a branch in Boston, Massachusetts. It works with local, national and global clients and does not publicly disclose turnover.

Grimsby Town Football Club is an English professional club based at Blundell Park in Grimsby, playing in EFL League Two for a fifth consecutive season.

Jake Fitzhugh, operations director at CMA, said he is a lifelong Town fan who had wanted to build a relationship with the club for a long time but needed the right opportunity, and that the progress of the women’s team and the local women’s and girls’ pathway made this a positive time to get involved.

Fitzhugh added that he hopes this is the start of a long relationship with the club.

The FA’s first round proper draw paired Grimsby Town with Stockport County, according to The FA, as 24 third-tier teams entered the competition.

Grimsby Town is in its fifth consecutive season in League Two, according to Wikipedia, which gives a local agency a link with a club whose men’s team averages home attendances above 7,000.

For the sector, the deal shows a local agency taking a content-led sponsorship in women’s football, tying its name to the highlights supporters watch rather than to the shirt.
