Industry NewsMidnite completes snooker Triple Crown with UK Championship deal
Midnite has extended its partnership with the World Snooker Tour to become official UK betting and casino partner of all three Triple Crown events, adding the UK Championship to the World Championship and the Masters and giving the operator a presence across snooker’s three most prestigious stages as the UK Championship opens on 28 November at the York Barbican. The Masters is staged at Alexandra Palace and the World Championship at Sheffield’s Crucible Theatre.
The UK Championship runs until 6 December and was first held in 1977, bringing together 32 players, including the top 16 in the world rankings and 16 qualifiers. This year’s tournament carries a record prize fund of £1.5 million (€1.79 million), up from £1.2 million (€1.43 million) in 2025, with the champion receiving £312,500 (€372,800).
Midnite is a London-based betting and casino operator founded in 2018 by Nick Wright and Daniel Qu, and licensed by the UK Gambling Commission and the Irish Revenue Commissioners.
World Snooker Tour is responsible for professional snooker’s commercial rights and promotion, and directly promotes all UK-based events, including the Triple Crown. It is controlled by Matchroom Sport, which owns 51% of the business.
Callum Wilson, senior PR manager at Midnite, said snooker has been a fantastic sport for the company, that working with the World Snooker Tour through the World Championship and the Masters made adding the UK Championship a natural next step, and that these are the three tournaments every player dreams of winning.
Wilson added that Midnite wants to keep finding new ways to get involved in the sport and bring fans closer to the action.
Midnite started with the World Snooker Championship in 2025 and has since swept up the rest of snooker’s elite events, according to Sportcal.
The snooker expansion follows a Midnite deal with the NFL in the UK and Ireland, according to InterGame, and the operator also backs football clubs including Sheffield United, Middlesbrough, Southampton and Wolverhampton Wanderers, according to iGaming Expert.
For the sector, the deal shows a challenger betting brand consolidating a sport’s three marquee events under one partnership, rather than spreading across the calendar, giving it year-round association with snooker’s biggest audiences.
