Heineken Ireland has signed an agreement with Ryder Cup Europe to become Official Beer, Cider and Stout Supplier to the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor, giving the Cork-based brewer's portfolio prominent placement across bars, the spectator village, hospitality areas and premium experience suites at an event expected to draw spectators from more than 80 countries. Brands served during the tournament will include Heineken, Heineken 0.0%, Birra Moretti, Murphy's, Beamish, Orchard Thieves and its new Served ready-to-drink range. The 2027 Ryder Cup runs from September 14 to 19 at Adare Manor, Limerick, marking the 100th anniversary of the event.

Heineken Ireland operates the 170-year-old Lady's Well Brewery in Cork and is part of Dutch multinational Heineken, the world's second-largest brewer by market value, employing over 350 people across Ireland. The company's portfolio includes Murphy's Irish Stout and Beamish, both brewed in Cork.

Ryder Cup Europe organises the European side of the biennial Ryder Cup golf competition under the European Tour Group, with the 2027 edition's Worldwide Partners including Rolex, DP World, SAP, Capgemini, Smurfit WestRock and Stripe.

The deal extends Heineken's long-running association with Irish golf sponsorship beyond the Irish Open, where it has been official beer partner since 2022, and beyond its earlier Murphy's Irish Stout title sponsorship of that event from 1994 to 2002.

Heineken Ireland managing director Sharon Walsh said it was a privilege to partner with an iconic global sporting event coming to Adare Manor, and that the company was proud to play its part in welcoming spectators from more than 80 countries as a business rooted in Ireland.

Ryder Cup chief officer Richard Atkinson said the 2027 edition would be particularly special as it marks the tournament's 100th anniversary, and that partnering with Heineken Ireland ensures spectators have access to world-class beer, cider and Irish stout products.

For the sector, the deal reflects how organisers of major international events increasingly favour beverage suppliers with strong domestic manufacturing roots near the host venue, in this case a brewery under 90 minutes from Adare Manor, over global category sponsors without local production ties.
